A 40-year-old woman who is day 3 postpartum is brought in after increasing confusion and agitation at home. In the ambulance she had a generalised tonic-clonic seizure that stopped after midazolam 5 mg IM.
When you arrive she is in the resuscitation room with a partly obstructed airway, RR 40, SpO2 95%, HR 130, BP 180/100, and reduced level of consciousness with GCS 9.
