SAQ 1038 – Trauma – elderly fall with facial CT and transfer planning

A 92-year-old man with dementia presents with his wife after a fall. He has a chin laceration, swelling and tenderness, with a small amount of blood in his mouth and stable haemodynamics.

His medicines include aspirin for atrial fibrillation, irbesartan for hypertension and paracetamol for osteoarthritis. CT brain, C-spine and facial bones are performed. The CT images are shown.
