A previously well 37-year-old woman presents to your rural ED with acute shortness of breath. She had an elective total thyroidectomy in an urban centre 3 days ago and was discharged today. She takes levothyroxine 100 micrograms daily and has no allergies. Initial observations were recorded as stable.
