A 27-year-old man presents after using large amounts of intranasal cocaine over the previous four hours with suicidal intent. On arrival his BP is 180/105, HR 160/min, oxygen saturation 98%, RR 24/min, temperature 40 degrees C and GCS 15. He is very tremulous and agitated.
