A 9-year-old boy is brought to the ED with bleeding from his mouth after tonsillectomy at your hospital 6 days earlier.

After a short time in the ED, bleeding increases. He becomes agitated and has difficulty managing his airway, with continuous coughing and choking. You decide to intubate him to allow safe ongoing management.
