A 45-year-old man is brought to your ED after a workplace exposure. He has a painful contact injury to his left hand and no first aid has been performed.
He has no past medical history and no allergies. Ambulance treatment included morphine 20 mg IV and ondansetron 8 mg IV. Vital signs are GCS 15, HR 110, BP 130/90, SpO2 100% on room air and temperature 37 degrees C. The left hand is shown.
