SAQ 1448 – Music festival seizure with hyperthermia

An 18-year-old man is brought to the ED by ambulance after being found outside a music festival with altered behaviour after a seizure.

On arrival, his GCS is 13 (E4 V4 M5), temperature 39.5 degrees C, pulse 120/min, BP 135/70 mmHg and oxygen saturation 99% on room air. Shortly after arrival, he has another self-limiting seizure. There is no evidence of trauma.
