He had been playing quietly in his room for 10 minutes and was found with an empty bottle that had previously been around three quarters full. The ingestion was 30 minutes before presentation.
The full 200 mL bottle contains 10 g of paracetamol, and the child weighs 14 kg.
After appropriate testing you decide he needs N-acetylcysteine. Soon after the first infusion starts, he develops widespread erythematous flushing and wheeze.
