An unidentified 32-year-old woman is involved in a single-occupant high-speed rollover motor-vehicle collision. On arrival she is confused. BP is 100/60 mmHg supine, HR 135/min, RR 28/min, oxygen saturation 92% on 6 L via Hudson mask, and GCS 13 (E4 V4 M5). Her x-ray is shown below.

Primary survey reveals no other abnormality and FAST is negative. Secondary survey reveals no limb injury.

Chest x-ray.	Tachypnoea, hypoxia, and significant mechanism.
CT cervical spine.	Reduced GCS and significant mechanism.

Full blood examination.	Assess blood loss, pregnancy-associated anaemia, and platelet count.
Group and hold.	Prepare for possible transfusion and assess risk of alloimmunisation.
Kleihauer test.	Assess fetomaternal haemorrhage, particularly if Rh negative.
Blood alcohol level.	Possible cause of reduced GCS or collision.
Blood glucose.	Possible cause of collision or altered mental state.
