SAQ 629 – Trauma – intubated fall with traumatic brain injury

A 52-year-old man is brought to your tertiary ED after falling three metres at a building site. His GCS was 9 at the scene. Paramedics intubated him pre-hospital and placed him in full spinal precautions. Primary survey findings and CT brain are shown below.

Circulation BP 80/60 mmHg, HR 120 bpm, no major external haemorrhage evident
