An 18-year-old man presents to a rural emergency department with mid-to-deep dermal burns to the face, left arm and thorax, and full-thickness burns to the right arm, after petrol was thrown on a campfire. Initial first aid was provided at the scene. Estimated burn size is 35% TBSA. This is an isolated injury. He is GCS 15, BP 150/80, HR 130, SaO2 98% on room air and estimated weight 80 kg.
