The time to transfer of care from ambulance stretcher to your ED, or off-stretcher time, has recently deteriorated.

To address this, increasing numbers of patients have been sent directly from the ambulance bay to the Emergency Medicine Unit. There have since been incidents where patients unexpectedly deteriorated during their EMU stay.
